After Lifestream is installed, I am unable to automatically upgrade Wordpress to a new version. I've had this issue since 2.8.1.
After being frustrated with the issue for the last two upgrades, I decided to deactivate all plugins and test each one by one. I have confirmed that the issue happens when only Lifestream is the active plugin.
